You might have those tasty red and white candy canes on your Christmas Tree – want to know how to make them disappear (and we don’t mean eat them!)?
We put three into jars, one with warm water, one with cold water and one with vinegar. We then watched what happened!
Why did that happen?
Because the candy cane is made of sugar. Sugar is dissolved in water and the warmer the water the quicker it melts and forms a sugar solution. In the vinegar it dissolves a bit quicker than in the normal water as it’s slightly acidic.
