Chilled food is an exciting, dynamic and high profile sector of the food industry. The UK market for chilled food has doubled in ten years to over £10,000 million, is growing at 5% a year and is set to grow further and there is a demand for students of very high calibre, particularly with science-based qualifications. Currently there are an estimated 200 science degree-requiring vacant roles in the sector.
